MADEIRA ISLAND AND RARE PLANTS FOR ECOTOURISM
At Park Florestal in Santo da Serra, tourists can learn a little bit more about reproduced rare plants typical of Madeira. An interesting visit and stop during your drive on the road down from Poiso ( Pico do Areiero ) to Santo da Serra.
Eco tourism life in Madeira, is something you discover during your walk or by driving around and there are many places all over Madeira, worth a stop to get to know and experience nature in Madeira firsthand. Even here at the park Florestal in Pico das Pedras, in the northwest of Madeira, you can also take a walk and look at the many rare plants being reproduced by the Government people. And if you ask, you might be permitted to buy some of them.
On a really nice and clear day on Pico das Pedras in Santana, up in the Park Florestal botanical garden, you will have a chance to see the whole western part of Madeira's coast and over to the island Porto Santo. The picture on the right in the background shows this.
