This park is a typical meeting place for many Portuguese inhabitants during weekends and special holidays in Madeira. The park is situated on Pico das Pedras, beside the road up to the top of Achada do Teixeira, the starting point for walks to Pico Ruivo and Pico do Arieiro. Here can you stop to see rare plants from the region being reproduced and enjoy the ecotourist life with a play park for children and with some birds in cages, or begin your walk to Queimadas. The botanical garden is open to the public every day during the week. |
