HUNTING Hunting in Madeira is only permitted for those with a hunting licence and is strictly according to season.
A non-resident hunting licence can be obtained in person or by a tourism operator, from:

The following game can be hunted according to season:
-Red legged partridge, Alectoris rufa,
-Common quail Coturnix coturnix
-Eurasian woodcock, Scolopax rusticola
-Pigeon, Columba livia,
-Pigeon, Columba Oenas,
-Wild Rabbit, Oryctolagus cuniculus.
